Events in Celebration Town Center

On Saturday March 15th, Grammy Award winning recording artist Hootie and the Blowfish will perform a FREE St. Patrick’s Day concert in Celebration Town Center as a part of the Robert Gamez Celebrity Weekend benefiting local charities. In addition to Hootie and the Blowfish, additional acts will include Rock and Pop Masters featuring performances by Jimi Jamieson (Survivor), Mike Reno (Loverboy), John Cafferty and Michael Antunes (Beaver Brown Band), and Larry Hoppen (Orleans). The event begins at 5:00 PM and parking and admission are FREE.
The Robert Gamez Foundation was established to provide assistance to children’s health and education programs in Central Florida and meeting the needs of physically challenged kids through golf. The Foundation’s focus is providing assistance to children facing physical challenges.
The Robert Gamez Celebrity Weekend is the cornerstone of the Foundation’s fundraising efforts and features a number of renowned celebrities, entertainers and friends of Robert from the PGA Tour who come to Celebration for a weekend of activities that include the concert, a Celebrity Golf Tournament, and a Comedy Show Gala featuring Gary Valentine (King of Queens) .
Since it’s inception in Central Florida 5 years ago, the Foundation has raised over $1,000,000 and provided grants to many organizations including Help Now Shelter, Celebration Health, Boys & Girls Clubs, Celebration High School, Children’s Home Society, Make-A-Wish and many others.
