Celebration Art Stroll
The streets of Downtown Celebration will transformation into 40+ art galleries on one special night when the Celebration Art & Wine Stroll returns for it’s second year.
Celebration, Florida – On Saturday, February 26th, the Artists of Celebration and Lexin Capital will once again host the Celebration Art Stroll. Between 5:30 and 9 p.m., artists will open their easels and invite onlookers to watch as they create oil paintings, charcoal sketches, watercolor, jewelry, knitted textile and more. Participating restaurants, including Imperium Food & Wine and Market Street Cafe on Market Street, will offer their favorite wines to buy and enjoy while patrons visit the artists and listen to live musical performances. Visitors are invited to sip wine and take their time perusing a number of the finest artists in the region. The music always kicks off with the fabulous Celebration High School Jazz Band led by music director William Molineaux. Following the CHS Jazz band this February will be a duo called Logical Soul consisting of singer Rita Kay and guitarist David Capp who perform all over the central florida area including the house of Blues and the Ritz. Many folks bring out their folding chairs and sit in front of the music during the stroll. The Artists of Celebration and the CHS art students also put together a large area with 2 or 3 creative projects for the children who come to the event to help nurture their love of art. The Projects are geared for a wide range of ages and children leave with completed art.
“The Celebration Art & Wine Stroll gives the artists a chance to connect with the community, each other and visitors while delving into what we love – be it painting, sculpting, drawing… And instant feedback from onlookers is priceless. I’m excited to be amongst my fellow artists in the stroll,” says Rob Kaz, one of the participating artists and Celebration resident. “This is a wonderful and intimate event which is quickly becoming a favorite of the folks in Celebration. Both artists and patrons alike give a big thumbs up. The Stroll offers a fun evening out for families while art truly brings people together. The affordably priced artwork is a bonus!” says Meryl Rachlin, President of Artists of Celebration and organizer of the Celebration Art & Wine Stroll. The Artists of Celebration is a Celebration community group formed by artists and those with an appreciation for the arts. The group meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Community Center. For more information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
