Celebration Art and Wine Stroll
The streets of Downtown Celebration will transform into 40+ art galleries on one special night when the Celebration Art & Wine Stroll returns for the third time.
Celebration, Florida – On Saturday, September 18, 2010, the Artists of Celebration and Lexin will once again host the Celebration Art Stroll. Between 6:30 and 10 p.m., artists will open their easels and invite onlookers to watch as they create oil paintings, charcoal sketches, watercolor, jewelry, knitted textile and more.
Participating restaurants will offer their favorite wines to buy and enjoy while patrons visit the artists and listen to live musical performances. Visitors are invited to sip wine and take their time perusing a number of the finest artists in the region.
This time round there will be a special area for the children to try their hands at creating some art as well as representation from the art students at the Celebration High School to showcase their talent. Also featured again is the High School Jazz band who get the event hopping to the beat in the first hour of the event. The Artists of Celebration would like to send the message that fostering the arts at all ages, the younger the better, is important.
“Our last art stroll was a huge success. The music was fabulous along with the addition of purchasing wine or drinks from the Imperium or Market Street Cafe made for a casual yet festive evening to help showcase the incredible talents of participating artists”. says Meryl Rachlin, organizer and president of the Artists of Celebration .
“The Celebration Art & Wine Stroll gives the artists a chance to connect with the community, each other and visitors while delving into what we love – be it painting, sculpting, drawing… And instant feedback from onlookers is priceless. I’m excited to be amongst my fellow artists in the stroll,” says Rob Kaz, one of the participating artists and Celebration resident.
The Artists of Celebration is a Celebration community group formed by artists and those with an appreciation for the arts. The group meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Community Center. For more information, contact email@example.com.
